Twisted Burger Company, the much loved burger restaurant based in Sheffield, is launching a residency in The Yard, Ilkley on February 1st. Bringing their inimitable mix of burgers and beats to the good people of Ilkley this Feburary it’s an exciting time for the brand.
Twisted Burger Company’s menu consists of imaginatively named burgers, and a host of sides and desserts. From the Pig Daddy Kane (double beef patty, pulled pork, American cheese, Dead Twisted BBQ sauce, chorizo & apple jam), to the Holy Cluck (double chicken patty, chorizo, American cheese, guacamole, jalapeno salsa) the burgers are a step beyond your usual cheeseburger fare.
Perhaps unusually for a burger concept, vegetarians and vegans are more than well catered for with two meat-free burgers, including the vegan Drop Dead Double Stuffed Falaf-Hell Burger (double falafel patty, grilled aubergine, sweet chilli & lime sauce, red onion, vegan minted sour cream) which was designed by Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon and Drop Dead.
On The Yard launch, Twisted’s Operations Manager Lauren Dyke explains:
“We are supremely excited to be launching a residency at The Yard in Ilkley. Twisted has gone from strength to strength with two well established franchises in Sheffield and one newly launched in Doncaster; we are massively proud of our menu which we think is the best in the North! As a true Yorkshire independent, it’s great to be expanding northwards. To launch the menu with a bang we’ll be offering half price burgers to anyone who visits The Yard between 1st and 14th February, you can’t go wrong!”
Each aspect of the menu has been carefully thought out. Every sauce on the menu, from perennial favourite Techno Burger Sauce through to the Dead Twisted Jalapeno Salsa is homemade to Executive Chef Alex Malins’ precise recipes. Likewise the patties are made using high quality meat to Twisted’s specification.
Every four weeks a new special is launched in conjunction with a partner. Previous specials have been designed by partners as diverse as Mixmag, Abandon Ship Apparel, and DJ Q and each one comes with a free giveaway; they’re much loved by TBC’s legion of fans, the Burger Crew!
There’s more than great burgers to Twisted Burger Company though. A passion for music runs through the DNA of the brand; Twisted only franchise into music-led venues that they think are awesome to ensure you will leave with a new favourite song as well as a full belly; the inimitable rock’n’roll stylings of illustrator Tom J Newell’s eye-catching design; the pop culture referenced names of the burgers; and finally pitches at Glastonbury and Download amongst other music festivals each summer to serve burgers to the partying masses.
The Yard is being revamped ready for launch 1st Feb where they will provide craft beers and cocktails, a great wine list, games room with pool table and some of the regions finest DJs/Musicians, making it the number one destination for a great time… whether it be a lazy Sunday afternoon with friends or a wild weekend till the early hours. Situated just off Brook Street, this Ilkley gem is well worth a visit, especially with Twisted Burger Company setting up shop.
